At Eden House, our fundamental aim is to provide a needs-led service to the people we support with Autism , epilepsy, learning disability and complex behavioural support needs between the ages of 13-30 .This service will consist of a supported respite placement at our beautiful five bedroom detached property. There will also be outreach services available as well as domiciliary care. We feel this service will offer both new and our existing clients a better quality of service and assist clients in their transition to adulthood from children’s services. Our service aims to provide a supportive living environment that allows each individual to develop at their own pace and make choices that fulfil personal dreams and aspirations.
Domain Care’s Eden House property is a large detached house situated within its own grounds and is situated in the Droylsden area of Manchester. It is close to all amenities including shops, Library, Swimming baths, Gymnasium, Cinema, social clubs, Parks, colleges and churches. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen and dining room, a multi function chill-out room providing space for arts and crafts activities and relaxation, and a large second living room at the side of the house. There is also a mobile phone which the young people have access to: young people will be provided with the space and opportunity to enjoy private telephone calls, in accordance with their care plans and in agreed guidance by the relevant authority. With access to activities that are appropriate to the individual’s needs and requirements, the young people we support are able to enjoy wider community resources, like any other person. This enables carers to see their family members given every opportunity to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
To the rear of the building there is a secure safe garden with a vegetable patch; separate to this area is a large car parking space. The property is fenced and enclosed by trees and bushes which allows for privacy space.
